First Playoff Win in Women's Hoops History!
(Boston MA) - On Friday, February 27th the Bristol Bayhawks Women's basketball team traveled to Bunker Hill Community College to face the Bulldogs in the Quarterfinals of the NJCAA Region XXI Tournament. The Bayhawks controlled the game from start to finish, leading 32-24 at halftime and winning with a 60-52 final score. The win marks the first postseason victory for Bristol's Women's Basketball Program.
 
Freshman Charmya Hayes-Paullette (Fall River MA) led the way with 24 points and 17 rebounds. Sophomore Hayley King (Wareham MA) added 15 points and 9 rebounds while freshman Jayda Martino (Fall River MA) finished with 9 points, 11 steals, 10 assists and 8 rebounds in the victory for the Bayhawks.
 
Bristol's next game will be on the road against the defending NJCAA Region XXI champions, the Community College of Rhode Island Knights.
