On Saturday September 28th, the Bristol Bayhawks traveled to Roxbury Community College. The Bayhawks were able to bounce back from a defeat to Quinsigamond CC (1-3) earlier in the week with a 9-1 victory over the Tigers bringing men's soccer to a 3-1-0 (2-1-0) record.
The Bayhawks had five different goal scorers in the game. Claudio Ramos (New Bedford, MA) started off the scoring with an unassisted goal. Tyler Arraial (Westport, MA) would then find a goal minutes later assisted by Kevin Herrera (New Bedford, MA). Lens Boursiqout (Fall River, MA) put the third goal of the game away with an assist by Kevin Ferreira (New Bedford, MA). Kevin Herrera would then go on to score 5 goals assisted by Kevin Ferreira, 2 – Lens Boursiqout, Claudio Ramos and Brayden Pompei (Taunton, MA), respectively. Ian Barreira (Dartmouth, MA) would go on to score the final goal with a hattrick assist by Kevin Ferreira.
Goalkeeper Kevin Sousa (New Bedford, MA) made 9 saves on 10 shots to help secure the win.
Bristol returns to action this Tuesday, October 1st at 4:00pm. The Bayhawks will host Northern Essex Community College (Haverhill, MA) at Britland Park (Fall River, MA). Please follow our athletics website and social media pages for more information.
