(Taunton MA) - On Saturday, January 31st the Bristol Bayhawks women and men's basketball teams hosted the Springfield Tech Community College Rams in two NJCAA Region XXI matchups. On a great day for Bristol basketball, the women won 90-39 and the men followed with a 85-79 victory.

 

For Bristol's women, freshman Brianna Malgauti (Taunton MA) exploded for 34 points and 7 rebounds. Freshman Charmya Hayes-Paullette (Fall River MA) added 20 points, 13 rebounds. In the men's game, Bristol's freshman Daejon Gibson (New Bedford MA) dropped 25 points and 4 assists. Sophomore, Christ Lebrun (Natick MA) finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds in the win for the Bayhawks.

 

The men's basketball team's next game will be on the road versus NJCAA Region XXI member, the Massbay Community College Buccaneers. The women's basketball team's next game will be at home against NJCAA Region XXI opponent, the Bunker Hill Community College Bulldogs. The matchup will be at 530pm on Friday, February 6th 2026. All home games will be played at the Bristolcc Taunton center and live streamed on the Bristol Community College YouTube page.
