(Taunton MA) - On Friday, January 23rd, the Bristol Bayhawks men's basketball team hosted Uconn Avery Point for an NJCAA Region XXI matchup vs the Pointers. Bristol led 43-39 at halftime and won with a 100-77 final score.
Five Bayhawks scored in double figures to pull away in the second half. Bristol's Sophomores Landon Cayton (Swansea MA) and Jason Andrews (Seekonk MA) led the way with 20 points each. Freshman Daejon Gibson (New Bedford MA) added 18 points and 8 assists. Sophomore William Winfield (East Providence RI) finished with 16 points and 16 rebounds. Sophomore Christ Lebrun (Natick MA) helped control the paint with 14 points and 10 rebounds in the victory for the Bayhawks.
