(Boston MA) On Wednesday September 24th, the Bristol Bayhawks women's soccer team traveled to play Region XXI opponent, the Bunker Hill Bulldogs. The first place Bayhawks won with a convincing 11-1 victory. Bristol now starts with a 4-0 Region XXI overall record.
Bristol's sophomore captain, Morgyn Riedl (Lakeville MA) continued her strong play with 4 goals and 1 assist. Sophomore, Hilaria Cassama (New Bedford MA) had 2 goals while fellow sophomores Genesis Price (Berkley MA) and Savannah Sousa (New Bedford MA) each scored 1 goal. Freshmen Racheal Ferreira (Swansea MA) scored twice, and Daniela Bustamante (Fall River MA) scored 1 goal. Freshman Rylee Vilacha (Acushnet MA) had 2 assists in the win for the Bayhawks.
Bristol's next match will be home at Bristolcc Taunton on Saturday, September 27th. The Bayhawks will face Region XXI member, the Quinsigamond Community College Wyverns at 12pm. Please follow Bristol's athletics website and social media pages for all Bayhawks updates and news.
