(Lincoln RI) On Saturday September 20th, the Bristol Bayhawks women's soccer team traveled to play Region XXI opponent and defending champs, the Community College of Rhode Island Knights. Bristol led 2-1 at halftime and finished with a 3-2 victory. The Bayhawks now start with a 3-0 overall record and sit in first place of Region XXI.
Bristol's sophomore sensation, Morgyn Riedl (Lakeville MA) scored all 3 goals in the match. Two of the goals were assisted by freshman, Daniela Bustamante (Fall River MA). Sophomore goalkeeper, Hayley King (Wareham MA) who was first team All-Region XXI last season, had 6 saves in the win for the Bayhawks.
Bristol's next match will be on the road as they travel to Boston MA on Wednesday, September 24th. The Bayhawks will face Region XXI member, the Bunker Hill Community College Bulldogs at 4pm. Please follow Bristol's athletics website and social media pages for all Bayhawks updates and news.
