(Fall River MA) On Tuesday September 30th, the Bristol Community College women's soccer team became nationally ranked 10th by the NJCAA. The Bayhawks are off an impressive 5-0 record start and currently sit in first place of Region XXI.
Bristol's women soccer head coach, Braley Freire said "I'm proud our team can be recognized for their hard work and determination. We're going to continue to keep a strong mindset and show our grit." Coach Freire, who took over the program last season, has seven sophomore returners on the roster. The Bayhawks are led by captain and leading scorer Morgyn Riedl. Riedl has fifteen goals in the four full games played. Sophomore All-Region XXI goalkeeper, Hayley King has continued to play strong in net for the undefeated Bayhawks.
Bristol travels to Boston MA on Wednesday October 1st. The Bayhawks will face Region XXI member, the Roxbury Community College Tigers at 6pm. Please follow Bristol's athletics website and social media pages for all Bayhawks updates and news.
