DEVON McKAY JOINS WOMEN’S SOCCER AS ASSISTANT COACH
Head Coach Jason Tassinari and Athletic Director Derek Viveiros are pleased to announce that Devon McKay will joining the Women’s Soccer Coaching staff at Bristol Community College as an assistant coach.
McKay has been the assistant women’s soccer coach at Curry the past 2 years. She was Coach Tassinari’s assistant at Curry his final season in 2017, helping guide the Colonels to a conference tournament berth.
McKay enjoyed a four-year soccer career at Southern Maine as a two-year captain and defender, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2015. After Southern Maine, she earned her Master’s in Education with a concentration in Nutrition Education from Framingham State University. For the past five years, McKay has coached for various youth, high school, and club organizations. She currently coaches club soccer for FCUSA Coastal. She was the assistant girls’ varsity soccer coach at Auburn High School in Alabama, where she led them to be runners-up in the state championship.
“I’m so excited that Devon is re-joining me as my assistant”, says Coach Tassinari. “She’s a bright, knowledgeable, intense, loyal and hardworking coach that will bring a tremendous amount of energy and enthusiasm to the players at Bristol. She’ll be a great role model for them as well. She will be involved in every aspect of the program, as we work together to build a consistent winner at Bristol. What’s exciting is that we both share the same beliefs and values on and off the field. We both want the same thing for our players and the program…excellence, dedication, and commitment. She’s a great coach and an even better friend.”
Devon is a Quincy, Mass. native and currently resides in Bridgewater, Mass. with her Fiancé Devon. She works for My Gym in Norwell.
