Jason Tassinari Named Head Women's Soccer Coach / Athletics Recruiter

The Department of Athletics and Recreation is pleased to announce the hiring of Jason Tassinari.  Jason has accepted the position of Head Women's Soccer Coach / Athletics Department Recruiter, effective April 3rd, 2019. Jason will be responsible for leading the women's soccer program both on and off the field, as well as support recruitment efforts in the department.

He brings extensive and successful head coaching and recruiting experience to Bristol.  He most recently served as the assistant men's soccer coach at Eastern Nazarene College during the 2018 season where he helped guide the Lions to the New England Collegiate Conference Semi-finals.  Prior to Eastern Nazarene, Jason was the head women's soccer coach at Curry College from 2012-2018. While at Curry, his program qualified for the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament five times, won a total of 55 games, and made 2 ECAC tournament appearances.  

Prior to Curry, Jason served as the head women's soccer coach at Emerson College for four seasons (2004-2007).  During his time at Emerson he guided the program to four GNAC Tournaments and 45 wins, including two quarter final games, one conference final, and a regular season championship in 2004.  Tassinari was also named GNAC Coach of the Year in 2004.

Jason has also served as the assistant women's soccer coach at Wheaton College (2003), head men's soccer coach at Stonehill College (1999-2002), and men's assistant coach at Bridgewater State University (1995). In addition to his experience at the college level, Coach Taz has also coached at the high school, ODP, and club levels throughout his career. He is currently a staff coach for several high school level club teams for FCUSA, serves US Indoor as a national referee and regional indoor instructor, and works at the Plymouth Sports Complex.

Coach Tassinari received his Bachelor's Degree from Bridgewater State University where he also competed on the men's soccer team.  While a member of BSU soccer team, Tassinari was named team captain during senior season and was an All-Conference defender.

Jason currently resides in Plymouth, MA with his wife Andrea and daughter Olivia.
